Sheldon High School Speaking
I am Sheldon High School. To know me you must see me by day and by night. I am busy all the time.
I have 90 students in daytime, and more than that at night. The daytime students, however, spend their whole day here five days a week, while the night students attend three to four hours a week.
Come to see me on Tuesday and Friday nights during basketball season and will see a crowd watching the games. Come on other nights and you will find square dances, a Cub Scout Pack meeting, a show by a radio troupe, a magician, a F.F.A. meeting, or maybe, like the other week, a Minstrel Show two nights in a row.
I maybe old, and I may show my age, too, but I do twice the work of some younger schools I know. During the school season almost every citizen of Sheldon and the surrounding community finds himself within my walls at least once.
All in all, I work pretty hard at my job.

F.F.A.
The F.F.A. basketball team played Onarga a few weeks ago. They have a first and a second team. Both teams have won their games, the first team winning 29 to 17.
The magazine selling contest is over. Richard Quinn’s team won and Marlin Johnson gets the camera for selling the highest amount. Josie Courtright’s team will give the winners a party sometime soon.
The F.F.A. Banquet was quite a success. There were talks by Mr. Smiley, Mr. Lindholm, Richard Mayotte, Richard Quinn, and Robert Clark. There were slides shown by Mr. Smiley.
Melvin Laird played his electric guitar for us, and Richie Quinn sang his contest number.
